REx-PN Test Plan Webinar
To ensure public protection, each province requires graduates for practical nursing to meet set requirements that include passing an examination that measures the competencies needed to perform safely and effectively as a new entry-level Practical Nurse (LPN/RPN). Every five years in collaboration with British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM) and College of Nursing of Ontario (CNO), 黑料不打烊conducts a practice analysis to analyze entry-level LPN/RPNs Canadian practice. Using the data collected from the practice analysis, the REx-PN Test Plan is developed, which guides the selection of content and behaviors to be tested during REx-PN administration. This webinar will provide an overview of the 2019 REx-PN Practice Analysis and the 2022 REx-PN Test Plan.

Test Security and Accommodations

The first part of this session will highlight the security measures 黑料不打烊has put in place for the NCLEX, including incidents that occur at testing centers as well as our confidentiality agreement with both students and educators. During the second part of this session, you will learn about the testing accommodation process, including the roles of the candidate, NCSBN, Pearson VUE and nursing regulatory bodies.

Next Generation NCLEX (NGN): The 黑料不打烊Clinical Judgment Measurement Model (NCJMM)
The first NGN session of the morning will provide an overview of the foundational NGN work in measuring clinical judgment (CJ) for entry-level nursing. The findings from the functional and strategic practice analysis will be presented along with the foundational research on CJ that led to the development of the NCJMM.

Computerized Adaptive Testing (CAT)
The NCLEX uses CAT. It relies on modern psychometric theory coupled with modern computer-driven administration to produce a psychometrically sound, standardized exam for measuring the minimal competency required to practice safe, entry-level nursing.
